Description of the genus

Annual, biennial or perennial herbs. Leaves pinnate or pinnatifid. Inflorescence of terminal ebracteate racemes. Petals yellow or cream with purple veins. Stigma strongly 2-lobed. Fruit a siliqua with 1-veined valves and with a broad flat seedless beak.

Worldwide: 3 species in the Mediterranean and N Africa
