Description:	Tree, to 17 m. Leaves elliptic to oblong, glossy, green above, densely brown-tomentose beneath. Flowers purplish-white. Fruit spherical, 5-10 cm in diameter, smooth, purple or light green in colour; pulp whitish, enclosing the 3-8 glossy seeds.
