Description of the family
Floating aquatic plants with slender pinnately branched rhizomes bearing roots. Leaves alternate, imbricate, 2-lobed. Sori in sporocarps borne on the lower lobes of the leaves. Worldwide: 1 genus and 6 species in tropical and warm areas. |
