Description of the genus

Undershrubs. Leaves digitately 3-foliolate, sometimes 1-foliolate; leaflets oblanceolate. Flowers in groups of 2-4 in the leaf axils. Calyx with 5 subequal teeth. Petals bluish or purplish; standard hairy outside. Ovary pubescent. Pods thin-walled, contorted and indehiscent.

Worldwide: 3 species occurring in dry parts of Africa and SW Asia.
