Description

This small Nature Reserve, run by the Department of National Parks and Wildlife was set up mainly for educational purposes. Unfortunately parts of the surrounding game fences have fallen into disrepair and some of the larger game such as giraffe appear to have gone. Some wildebeest, zebra and smaller animals still appear to remain within the original boundaries, probably because of the presence of the only available water in a wide area. Botanically the area is interesting for the presence of at least twelve different species of Acacia and a variety of herbaceous species restricted to this dry Acacia dominated habitat.
