Bulbous perennial. Leaves linear, up to 35 cm long, normally just starting to develop at flowering time. Flowers 1-2 on a lateral peduncle. Perianth lobes linear, white, up to 10 cm. Stamens held in a cup-shaped false corona, much shorter than the perianth lobes with 2 triangular lobes between the stamens. Fruit a spherical or cylindric capsule, c. 2.5 cm. | |
