Ascending to suberect pyrophytic herb, growing from a woody rootstock. Stems several, sparsely branched, up to 6 cm long, covered in short pubescence mixed with long spreading hairs. Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets narrowly oblong, elliptic to obovate, 3-10 cm long, softly velvety and glandular on both surfaces, sometimes with dense grey felt below; venation sunken above and raised below. Flowers in axillary racemes. Standard red outside, yellow inside, sometimes all yellow; keel creamy-yellow. Pods elliptic, c. 2 × 1.2 cm, densely covered in long hairs, short hairs and glands. |
