Description:
Erect perennial herb, up to 35 cm, with annual stems growing from an underground tuber. Leaves oblong-lanceolate with scattered glands. Tendrils absent. Flowers in few-flowered cymes, yellowish, unisexual, with both sexes on the same plant. Fruit an ellipsoid capsule.
