Description:
Small perennial herb, less than 45 cm tall. Leaves linear, narrowly elliptic to lanceolate. Flowers in small terminal umbels, appearing at ground level before the leaves, olive-green, yellow-brown or brownish purple; corona white.
Notes:

Habitat: In woodland and grassland, usually flowering after fire.

Worldwide distribution: Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Cameroon, DRC, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
