Description:
Annual or perennial herb. It is easily distinguished from subsp. pseudoangolense by the flowers, which are always white to pale pink. The leaves are densely covered in mucilage glands, grey-green. The capsule is glabrescent and pale coloured with a shorter beak, bending upwards.

Habitat: In sandy alluvial soils along river banks.
