Description:
Suffrutex, 0.5-1.8 m, from a woody rootstock. Stems yellowish, often woody, with branches in whorls of 3. Leaves usually in whorls of 3. Corolla: tube 17-28 mm, usually curved, greenish-yellow; lobes triangular. Fruit c.12 mm in diameter, spherical.

Habitat: In woodland and wooded grassland, often on termite mounds.
