| Description: |
Prostrate or suberect, perennial herb, with branches 30-60 cm. Leaves ± sessile; lamina up to c.4 × 2.5 cm, ovate; margin serrate. Capitula up to 1.8 cm in diameter. Receptacular scales 7-11 mm, obovate, abruptly ending in a long and very narrow, scaberulous tip (especially in fruit when they exceed the phyllaries). Rays 10-15 mm, c.10-15, yellow. Achenes c.3.5 mm, obovoid and ± flattened, pubescent. Cupule of the pappus lacerate; setae 0 (but sometimes a few lacerations exceed the remainder). |
