Description: | Spiny tree to 25 m. Leaves digitate with 3-7 leaflets. Flowers solitary but clustered towards the ends of the branches. Calyx very shallowly lobed. Petals 5 - 10 cm, dull to bright red, oblong, recurved. Stamens in two whorls, the outer whorl arranged in 5 bundles. Capsule to 15 cm, oblong. |
