Description: | Robust evergreen plant to 60 cm high. Spathe ivory-white broad and widely spreading backwards, without a dark purple area at the base of the spathe. Spadix usually bright yellow. Clavate-spathulate staminodes scattered among the female flowers. |
Notes: | Mayo, S.J. in FTEA, Araceae, p. 36 reports that this species has escaped from cultivation in various parts of the tropics in cooler upland areas (e.g. in Tanzania). However, there are no records of this species escaping in Zimbabwe. |
