Description: | Small to medium-sized tree. Leaves alternate, evergreen, simple, obovate, 5 to 15 cm long, coarsely toothed; upper surface glossy, dark green with sunken veins; lower surface paler, hairy. Acorn oblong with a warty bowl-shaped cap covering c. 1/3 of the nut, borne on a long stalk. |
