Description of the genus
Geophytic herb with a very small bulb, 10 × 8 mm wide, with 1 leaf. Peduncle short, thin, with a 1(-2)-flowered raceme. Perianth tubular; tepals united for at least ⅓ their length. Stamens 6 in one row. Ovary ovoid, sessile, 3-locular. Capsule ovoid. Seeds flattened. Worldwide: 1 species, confined to southern Africa Zimbabwe: 1 taxon. |
