Annual herb (in ours). Plant heterophyllous (in ours). Inflorescences axillary, secund racemes. Sepals fused into a cylindric tube. Petals yellow to orange, without a ligule. Ovary 1-locular. Capsule ellipsoid, not constricted between the seeds. Seeds curved Worldwide: 6 species in tropical and South Africa Zimbabwe: 1 taxon. |
