On stony margin of a fragment of miombo woodlandNear the nursery, Monavale Vlei770Zimbabwe1731C3 C1470Growing among dried grasses and other dried species. Height was about 15 cm for all and each plant has only about three flowers (including buds), at least at this stage. The labellum has parallel rows of white raised ridges. The spur is 1 cm long, or longer if you include the cone-shape (see photo), so the flower is 3 cm from tip of spur to tip of labellum. Most of the flowers face upward, one was not resupinated. None of the white part of the lip on any plant had any markings in another color. The color scheme may not be an exact match for the published descriptions.5
