Mopane woodland (sodic soils) with the following associated species: Boscia mossambicensis, Boscia matabelensis, Boscia salicifolia, Combretum obovatum, Combretum mossambicense and Courbonia glauca (Maerua edulis).About two kilometers due south of the Mbera/Zambezi confluence, Mana Pools NP590Zimbabwe1529C2 QN585595N360First collection for Zimbabwe.

Alistair Hull's observations have revealed the species extends from the above grid reference downstream roughly parallel to the Zambezi in mopane woodland as far as Grid Reference QN800650 but may occur further along. A separate record has been added to the site for that point.
