Flowers in terminal racemes, densely arranged, especially terminally, showy, 2 cm in diameter. Petals 5, free, obovate, pale pink with purple bases. Sepals 5, fused, green, ciliate along free upper margins, persistent. Stamens with filaments maroon, contorted; anthers large, ovoid, fused.
