Erect perennial herb up to 1.20 m high, sticky glandular. Leaves concentrated near the base, getting smaller higher up the stems; margins crenate, wavy. Flower heads white, cream or pale yellow, without ray-florets. |

| Notes: | Specimens of this species were previously often identified as Senecio variabilis a very similar taxon from South Africa. If future research would prove these two taxa conspecific the name S. variabilis would be the older and correct name. |
