Type location:
Notes:	The species is endemic to the Chimanimani Mountains for Eastern Zimbabwe and we have recorded it as an endemic. However, it is likely that the species also occurs in Mozambique and should that be so, the status NrEnd would be correct.
Derivation of specific name:	phippsii: for after James Bird Phipps, 1934-, plant collector in Zimbabwe.
