Description: |
Densely tufted perennial grass. Culms 30–120 cm. high, the nodes glabrous or pubescent. Leaf lamina 1–10 mm. wide, harsh to the touch, plicate when young but soon flattening, the basal portion usually narrowed to a false petiole. The panicle with branches spreading in ours, usually contracted elsewhere. |
