Description: |
Perennial tufted rhizomatous herb. Stems erect, 40-80 cm. Leaves 3-5, basal and cauline, terete, septate; base with an open auriculate sheath. Inflorescence a compound umbel, exserted, divaricate; capitula ± spherical. Perianth segments 3-4 mm, linear-acuminate, aristate, ± equal. Stamens 3 or 6. Ovary 1-locular. Capsule oblong-ovoid, obtuse, apiculate, trigonous, as long as the perianth segments. |
