Small perennial herb, up yo 15 cm high growing from tubers. Leaves 1-2, erect, narrowly elliptic to lanceolate. up to 50 mm long, hairless. Inflorescence 8-16-flowered, 45 mm long on a peduncle up to 8 cm long. Bracts boatshaped, 1.5-2 mm long. Pedicels spreading-erect, up to 2 cm long. Flowers bell-shaped, yellow. |

| Notes: | Although this species was originally listed as a Near-endemic occurring both in the Nyanga and Chimanimani areas (Mapaura in Kirkia 18-1, 2002) and Mapaura & Timberlake in Sabonet Report 14, 2002) no cited records from the Chimanimani Mts have been found. Perry in Flora Zambesiaca 13-2, 2010, regards it as an endemic in the Nyanga Mts. |
