Description:
A non-suckering species of very restricted distribution. The leaves, usually dried and twisted at the apex, are conspicuously banded on the upper surface with rows of white spots. Inflorescence branched, erect, normally fairly short, up to 75 cm. Flowers orange-red.
Notes: An unusual flowering time for an Aloe.
Derivation of specific name: collina: of the hills, growing on hills
Habitat: A species of rocky hillsides, usually in the shelter of bushes.
Altitude range: (metres) 1980 - 2400 m
Flowering time:Sep - Nov
Worldwide distribution: Confined to Zimbabwe. Only known from the Nyanga Mountains, north of Troutbeck
