Description:
Perennial herbs 7–12 cm high excluding the leaves, growing from globose corms 8–15 mm in diameter, tapering to a sharp point below. Leaves 1–4, straight or curved, filiform, 1–1.5 mm in diameter. Stems 1–4 per plant, more or less erect. Flowers solitary per stem, lilac to violet, white to yellow in the centre, darkly veined outside; perianth tube 7–8 mm long; tepals lanceolate, 12–20 mm long, erect in the lower part and curving outwards above. Capsules 7–10 mm long.

Derivation of specific name: camerooniana: of Cameroon.
Habitat: In montane grassland, among rocks and on rocky outcrops or cliffs
