Description: |
Semi-erect or scrambling subshrub, up to 50 cm high, sometimes climbing up to 1.5 m with support. Stems armed with short stipular spines. Leaves alternate, simple, narrowly oblong, up to c. 3 cm long. Flowers very small, yellowish-green, unisexual; male flowers in axillary clusters; female flowers solitary or paired. Fruit a subovoid, often asymmetrical drupe. |
Notes: | In Zimbabwe it has, so far only been recorded from the Matobo Research Station and nearby areas. |
