Common names: | |
Frequency: | |
Status: | Native and cultivated |
Description: |
Small, perennial or sometimes annual, totally glabrous, branched herb. Leaves succulent, shape varying from linear to elliptic or narrowly spathulate. Inflorescence of corymbose cymes or flowers solitary at the branch apices; pedicels capillary, elongating to 5 cm in fruit. Corolla 2-3 mm long, white. |
Notes: | I (MAH) have combined Crassula expansa var. expansa and C. expansa var. longifolia under C. expansa subsp. expansa, as this seems to be the approach in the African Plants Database although it is not absolutely clear. The record from Zimbabwe (S. bank of Zambesi; Rogers 13021) lacks an FZ division. From the altitude (c. 960 m.) I presume it must be division W. |
