Description: |
A low growing shrub at the high flood zone, or a small tree up to 7 m tall on higher ground of alluvial terraces. Spines stipular, paired, mostly recurved, or straight. Young twigs densely pubescent or tomentose. Pinnae 2-9(13) pairs. Pods held erect, inflated, dehiscing along one suture to allow the mature seeds to dangle. Differs from subsp. hebeclada by its generally larger size, more dense pubescence, and the larger pods, 2.5-3 cm wide. |
