Description:
S. capitata is similar to S. brachypetala, but differs as follows: (1) the petals are normally fully developed and are not reduced to linear filaments; (2) the tree, the leaflets and the size of the heads are all smaller; and (3) the flowers are on smaller branches and not borne on the old wood.
