| Description: |
Erect, suberect, scandent or straggling shrub up to 1 m high. Leaves nearly sessile or petiole less than 5 mm long; lamina 1.5-3.5 cm long, ovate or oblong-ovate, pale green or glaucous; apex usually finely apiculate; underside usually with 2-4 small glands near the base. Flowers distinctly zygomorphic. Petals 8-10 mm, obovate, ± spathulate, mauve, purplish or purplish-blue, fimbriate and shortly unguiculate. Ovary densely sericeous. Samara with lateral wing 2-4 cm in diameter, circular, slightly notched at the apex; dorsal wing obliquely lanceolate. |
