Description:
A sparsely-branched straggling herb, up to c. 1m high, woody on the older parts. Leaves closely spaced, up to c. 1 cm long, linear-lanceolate, needle-like with revolute margins. Flowers uni-sexual, in sub-umbellate clusters, both terminal and axillary at the ends of branches, green to yellow. Capsule c. 3 × 3 mm, deeply 3-lobed, exserted on a reflexed pedicel up to 4.5 mm long.

Habitat: Montane grassland and among ericoid scrub on rocky slopes.
Altitude range: (metres) 1200 - 2300 m

Worldwide distribution: Only known from the border mountains of Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
