Description: |
Erect branched subshrub, 20 - 60 cm tall. Branches with short simple hairs and longer, branched glandular hairs. Scale-like leaves in whorls of 3, narrowly ovate, 1-4 mm long, shortly pubescent on both surfaces and with a few branched glandular cilia on the margin. Flowers in 6-9 flowered clusters in the axils of the upper leaf-whorls and on short side branches, together forming narrow, paniculate inflorescences, up to 20 cm long. Corolla bell-shaped, mauve, c. 2.5 mm in diameter, pale pink or white, hairless except for minutely ciliate margins. Style c. 1.3 mm long, exceeding the corolla. |
