Description:
Erect perennial herb, 50 - 140 cm tall. Leaves opposite, narrowly linear, up to 7 cm long, shorter or longer than the internodes, more or less hairy above, sometimes hairy on the midrib beneath. Flowers up to 13 at the nodes, on pedicels up to 10 mm long. Corolla lobes 2-3 mm long with margins rolled under and an incurved apex, pink-purplish on the outside, cream to yellowish inside, hairy especially above. Corona whitish with purple streaks. Fruit 5-6 mm long, densely and finely velvety.
