Description: |
Twining perennial. Leaves heart-shaped up to 15 cm long; petiole up to 5 cm long. Flowers green inside, outside greenish-white with longitudinal purple-brown veining on the swollen part of the corolla tube; constricted upper part of the tube and lobes often solid purple-brown; corolla lobes linear-lanceolate with long acuminate tips connected to form a cage. |
Notes: | This species has been provisionally included on the basis of its appearance in the Zimbabwe list of Asclepiadoideae (David Goyder, pers. comm., 2007). As yet no records and or specimens from Zimbabwe are known to us. |
