Notes: | This subspecies is often associated with mopane woodland and not confined to rocks. It is fairly widespread in Zimbabwe but has a very scattered distribution and is rarely found. |
Derivation of specific name: | hislopii: named after A. Hislop, formerly of St. Faith's Mission, Rusape; robusta: robust, referring to the larger plant habit of this subspecies. |
