Description: |
Erect to decumbent perennial with several much branched stems growing from a woody root-stock. Stems up to about 60 cm high, densely brownish, greyish or silvery hairy, more rarely white pubescent. Leaves linear to linear-oblong, 9–35 mm long, subsessile, thick, with stout midrib and the lateral veins impressed above and prominent beneath, with same brownish or greyish indumentum as the stems. Peduncles up to 5 mm long, 1 (2) flowered; bracteoles small, linear, about 3 mm long; pedicels usually longer than the peduncles and up to about 15 mm long. Sepals oblong, elliptic or ovate, c. 6 mm long. Corolla white or pink, with a dark reddish-purple centre, widely funnel-shaped, about 12 mm long. Capsule ovoid-conical, hairy at the apex. |
