Description:
|
Erect perennial herb, up to c. 1 m tall, growing from a woody rootstock. Stems often numerous, pubescent with stiff downward pointing hairs. Leaves opposite, subsessile to shortly petiolate, linear to narrowly elliptic or oblanceolate, up to 6 cm long, more or less covered in short hairs on both surfaces, especially on the veins beneath; margin entire or with few teeth in the upper half. Inflorescences in 1-3 few-flowered verticels, 10-55 mm apart. Flowers white, c. 13 mm long. |
