Description:
Bushy, glabrous shrub to 3 m. Leaves 3-5(-10) × 1-1.5(-3.5) mm, alternate or borne in fascicles, obovate, slightly fleshy, shortly glandular-hairy when young, becoming glabrous; minutely dark-punctate; base cuneate; apex obtuse. Racemes 1-1.5 cm long, bearing alternate, pedicellate flowers. Calyx lobes linear, obtuse. Corolla white with a yellow throat; tube 2.5-4 mm long, narrowly funnel-shaped; lobes ± circular, the lower pair smaller. Capsule ovoid.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: pearsonii: named for Professor H.H.W. Pearson who found the type specimen during the Percy Sladen Memorial Expedition in Namibia in 1908-1909
