Description:
Much-branched, aromatic perennial herb, erect or straggling, up to c. 60 high. Stems softly hairy, often sticky glandular towards the top. Leaves opposite, more or less broadly ovate-elliptic to almost circular, 1-3.5 cm long, subglandular-pubescent on both surfaces; margin coarsely toothed with bluntly rounded teeth. Flowers together forming large, branched, leafy inflorescences; pedicels up to 1 cm long; calyx deeply 5-lobed with lobes linear-lanceolate, 4-8 mm long; corolla blue, pinkish-mauve, purple or white, yellow to orange in the centre, 4.5-5.5 mm in diameter with a narrow tube, 5-9 mm long, glandular-pubescent outside. Capsule ovoid, 3-4 mm long, hairless.

Derivation of specific name: floribunda: with abundant flowers
Habitat: In grassland, woodland and along forest margins, particularly in rocky areas.

Worldwide distribution: Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Lesotho and South Africa.
