Description: |
Small annual or short-lived perennial herb. Stems several, erect, up to c. 8 cm high, hairy. Leaves along the stem opposite or alternate, ovate-elliptic, up to 6 mm long, hairy, single-veined; margin entire. Basal leaves 8-18 long, broadly ovate to circular, 3-5-veined; margin somewhat thickened. Inflorescence a few-flowered spike, up to c. 1 cm long. Flowers sessile, blue to mauve; tube 6.5-7.5 mm long, pubescent, with long hairs at the throat. |
Notes: | The basal leaves do not turn black when dry. |
