Description: |
Erect, ascending or straggling annual or perennial herb, up to 60 cm tall. Stems 1-many from a woody base, slightly ribbed, hairless or more or less densely hairy lower on the stems. Leaves opposite, narrowly linear to linear-lanceolate, sometimes filiform, 19-32 mm long, hairless or somewhat roughly hairy above, on the margin and on the midrib beneath; margin often rolled under. Stipular sheath with 2-6 reflexed fimbriae, 1.4-5 mm long. Flowers in more or less lax branched heads, 2 or rarely 3 flowers at each node. Corolla 4-lobed, white, cream, yellowish, bluish, mauve, purple, pink or red; tube 2.7-7 mm long. |
