Description:
Evergreen shrub. Leaves opposite, elliptic, shiny dark green, with a drip tip; hairless except for stiff hairs on the mid rib beneath. Inflorescences on the upper nodes of branches, 1-9 white flowers with long greenish corolla tubes up to 11 cm.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: goetzei: after Walter Goetze (1872-1899), German naturalist, explorer, photographer and collector of botanical and zoological specimens in Tanzania.
Habitat: In the understorey of evergreen forest.
Altitude range: (metres) Up to 1500 m
Flowering time:Nov - Dec
Worldwide distribution: Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
