Description:
Perennial (or possibly annual) herb. Very similar to Richardia brasiliensis. This species can best be distinguished by the larger flowers with triangular lobes 2.5 × 1.5 mm and leaves that are mostly hairless above except for near the margins.

Derivation of specific name: scabra: scabrid or rough
Habitat: In disturbed ground, roadsides and as a weed of cultivated land.
