Description: |
Perennial herb. Stems often much-branched, scrambling or climbing, up to c. 2 m long, 4-angled with spreading hairs on the angles. Leaves mostly in whorls of 6, linear to narrowly elliptic, 10-15 mm long, single-veined; apex with a distinct whitish acumen; margin reflexed, entire but set with small recurved prickles. Inflorescences cylindric, many-flowered. Flowers 2-3 mm in diameter, pale to bright yellow, often hairy on the outside. Fruit mostly hairless. |
