Description:
Erect or somewhat twining perennial herb, Leaves linear-lanceolate with the mid vein prominent below; margin finely toothed. Inflorescence a terminal raceme up to 30-flowered. Flowers, despite the name, most commonly pink, but vary from white to purple.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: alba: white, although flowers may be pink or mauve-purple.
Habitat: Montane grassland

Worldwide distribution: So far only recorded from the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe but it may also occur across the border in Mozambique.
