Description: |
Spreading perennial, branching subshrubby herb, up to 2.5 m tall. Mostly herbaceous but sometimes woody at the base. Leaves alternate, elliptic to ovate, up to 11 × 5 cm but mostly much smaller on the branches, somewhat grey-green above, covered in fine silvery-white appressed, short T-shaped hairs below; margin finely serrulate to almost entire. Capitula numerous in lax clusters. Involucral bracts bristly. Florets discoid, purple. |
