Description: |
Erect herb to 1.6 m. Leaves: petiole 0 or up to c.5 cm, sometimes winged; lamina 2-10 × 1.5-6 cm, lyrate-pinnatifid or ovate, pilose to glabrescent above and beneath; margin crenate or crenate-serrate. Capitula very small, c.4 mm in diameter, spherical. Phyllaries c.1 mm. Achenes c.1 mm, glabrous or with a few glands at apex; margin 2-ribbed. Pappus of ray florets usually 0, rarely a single seta; of disk florets 0 or of a few minute papillose processes. |
