Description:
Branched perennial herb up to c. 70 cm tall. Stems glandular setose when young, smooth brown when older. Leaves sessile, linear, up to 6 cm long with a long fine apical point, minutely glandular and green above, smoothly white hairy beneath with a prominent midrib; margin narrowly rolled under. Capitula solitary at the ends of branches, c. 1.2 cm in diameter, on peduncles up to 7 cm long. Involucral bracts 4-5-seriate, ovate to lanceolate, 3-11 mm long, outer brownish, inner golden yellow. Florets yellow.
Notes: Found on granite hills of the central watershed from Matobo to Mutare. It has not been recorded outside Zimbabwe but seems unlikely to be a true endemic.
